Film director Gurinder Chadha attends community event at The Green Quarter in hometown of Southall

Gurinder Chadha, the Bend It Like Beckham director, has joined local school children from Blair Peach Primary School at The Green Quarter in her hometown of Southall on Friday the 21st of November as they celebrated the launch of her brand-new festive film ‘Christmas Karma’.

The 45 year three school children performed ‘Last Christmas (Desi Version)’ from the Christmas Karma soundtrack and were accompanied by dancers in traditional Indian dress.

Christmas Karma (trailer here), has a cast of well-known names including Hugh Bonneville, Danny Dyer, Boy George and Eva Longoria.

The event, hosted at Berkeley Group’s The Green Quarter in Southall, took place ahead of the start of ‘12 Days of Christmas’ at Parkside Yards which runs from the 1st to the 12th of December and features a range of festive events and activities for the local community. Key dates for the calendar include the Christmas light switch on on the 4th of December and Parkside Festive Markets on the 6th and 7th of December where visitors can shop small from a wide range of artisan and local traders.
